Field Crops> Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)> Varieties

A bumper crop of wheat could be obtained only if a locally adapted, high yielding disease resistant variety is chosen for cultivation in a particular area. A number of dwarf and semi-dwarf varieties have been released for cultivation in different agro-climatic zones. The varieties recommended for different agro-climatic conditions are given in tale 1.
